Please note except for 5* hotels, normally half board is not usually offered at hotels in Switzerland.  The 5* hotels offering half board are at Interlaken, St Moritz and Lucerne.  Instead we supply a copy of the Swiss Coupon pass offering 2 for 1 deals at restaurants in all the towns and cities you visit as well as Gourmet lake cruises and at mountain restaurants.  Or how about an introductory walk around Lucerne or hire a boat at Lake St Moritz, you’ll be spoilt for ideas!

  • Day 1 Take the mid morning Eurostar train to Paris, for connection by the high speed Lyria train to Geneva. Stay overnight at the 4* Manotel Kipling in the style of the British Raj or the 5* Le Richemond quietly situated near the Lake of Geneva.
  • Day 2 Take the mid morning train to Montreux to pick up the Panoramic Express towards Interlaken.  As it climbs and turns to gain height the most marvellous panorama of the dreamy Lake of Geneva unfolds below.  Suddenly you turn into majestic mountains and deep ravines before changing at Zweisimmen for a relaxing run along Lake Thun to Interlaken.  Here stay for 2 nights at the 3* Continental or the 5* Lindner Grand both in the town centre.
  • Day 3  Your Swiss pass includes excursions for example to the mountain resorts of Wengen and Murren or a relaxing cruise on Lakes Thun or Brienz, it’s up to you!
  • Day 4 Today the train whisks you along the rails through the Loetschberg pass to Visp then up the dramatically steep valley to the car free village of Zermatt. Stay at the 3* Jaegerhof by the station, where you will be collected if staying at the 5* Zermatterhof in the village centre.
  • Day 5 Start with a village tour, then take the Gornergrat cog railway to the Kulm hotel all on the 2 for 1 offer!
  • Day 6 Board the famous Glacier Express with reserved seats and enjoy dramatic mountain scenery from the Panoramic cars, truly a highlight of your Swiss Adventure – you can enjoy the pre-ordered lunch as you travel the World’s slowest Express Train.  On arrival at St Moritz you will be collected from the station and taken to the 3* Laudinella or 5* Kempinski.
  • Day 7 Option to take the Bernina tourist train to the Italian border at Tirano or just relax by the lake at St Moritz, followed by some very upmarket shopping or perhaps mountain biking?
  • Day 8  Traverse by train through more stunning lake and mountain landscapes for the 4 hour trip to Lucerne to stay at the 3* Waldstaetterhof by the station or the period Palace Hotel in a lovely setting on the lake with picture postcard views of the distant snow capped mountains.
  • Day 9 Take a morning walking tour of Lucerne and discover the unique painted covered bridges alongside the strikingly modern KKL concert hall and art gallery or on the Panorama yacht Saphir at a special rate out on the Lake of Lucerne?
  • Day 10 To end your Swiss rail holiday you take the mid morning train to Basel, connecting by high speed trains to Paris  arriving back into London before 7 pm.


Daily throughout the year. At the beginning or the end of your journey stay at the 4* Pullman St Pancras or for a touch of luxury at the 5* Renaissance on the concourse of St Pancras railway station, London.
