Description

If you’ve ever read any Russian literature, you’ll recognise that Russians have a completely different view of the world.  Their nationalistic outlook prioritises an aggressive defence of what Russia sees as its spheres of influence.  Its only by going on a tour of Russia by train that you realise that it’s not really part of Europe, but that you are engaging with a different culture that sees Russia as the centre of the world.  Of course there are the Tourist attractions of the Kremlin and the Hermitage, but to really get under the skin of Mother Russia you need to converse with her people who have a strong sense of pride in what their country has achieved.  As in the west there are pockets of great affluence and grinding poverty, but it does seem more extreme!  After returning from Russia you’ll have a unique insight into what makes it tick, and perhaps give you a new perspective on the country which does not really share our western values.

On a more day to day level getting  a reputable taxi in Russia as a newcomer can be intimidating so Traintours4u includes taxi transfers from station to hotel and back in both Moscow and St Petersburg.  We take great care of you !
